I had a buddy that had a 110 fluxcore he bought from TSC for about 120 bucks and he could lay down some sweet beads with that thing. Just as there are deals on Craigslist for used welders, you can sell yours when and if you outgrow it and buy something else. My suggestion is start off with what you can afford.
Some guys are fine with brackets, sissy bars etc. Not everyone is going to graduate into frame building.
